So the show closed on Sunday. It was a great run - great audiences, great shows, great. Clearly it was tons of fun and I'm so glad I did it. I've gotten a lot of positive feedback, which makes me feel like this is something I have the right to want to do (performing).
Additionally: I was working yesterday and my travels took me to Georgetown University, a campus that I do not know very well at all. I was standing on a corner, looking at a map, and this woman came up to me and said, "Excuse me?" I thought she was going to ask me for directions or to borrow my map for a minute, but she said "did you play Sharpay in High School Musical?" I was surprised, obviously, but I said, "Yes!" And she continued on to say that she really enjoyed the show and how great it was, before walking on her merry way.
I stood there for a moment, and decided, yes, I am a celebrity now. It's official. I'll be at Brangelina's for brunch and then I'll go shopping with my nearest and dearest frenemies while the paparazzi drools for one - just one - picture of me in an embarrassing or compromising situation. They'll be left unsatisfied, however, since I'm one of those classy celebs who always seems composed and together.
I may be getting carried away - but I would 't be me if I didn't, would I?
How cool! Go to Chen's to celebrate.
